We are sad to hear of the death of Ivor Lloyd, who played for Malvern for many years.

After leaving school Ivor joined the Army and served in the Royal Tank Corp.

He was a keen sportsman and represented the Corp at both rugby and cricket. After leaving the Army he moved back to Suckley and joined Worcester Rugby Club.

Ivor was a very competent scrum half and represented Worcester 1st XV on a number of occasions. He was not the quickest scrum-half but his accuracy of pass and guile kept the opposition on their toes. In the Mid-80's he joined Malvern Rugby Club where he continued to play until his retirement.

After his retirement from rugby he introduced the Christmas raffle where every member of the club donated a prize. The raffle raised may thousands of pounds for Club funds.

Ivor was for many years the signalman at Malvern Wells.
