The December winners have just been announced on the MRFC 75 Club

We caught up with one of the December prize winners, Dave Blinston, and posed a few questions to him

1. What is your association with Malvern RFC?

As Malvern had no Mini or Junior Rugby at the time I had to travel to Worcester for my first few years playing, my first real involvement with Malvern was playing for the colts and then on to the senior teams, at the time Malvern regularly put out 4 teams on a Saturday and you could find yourself making numbers up in the 4th’s one week and playing for the 1st’s the next! During that time I made many life long friends. Like many ex players I never really retired, injuries took longer to get over and life started to get in the way and eventually you miss a whole season!

I now find myself as the Mini & Junior Fixtures Secretary, with a Son playing in the U13’s. I try to support the club where I can to ensure all the mini & youth age groups have an equally amazing time as I did which hopefully will result in them continuing on to be senior players and adult members.

2. How did you hear about the MRFC 75 Club?

The advert on the App prompted me to join the 75 Club

3. What made you join?

The offer of one month free and knowing that the funds raised go straight back into the club.

4. What would you say to anyone who is thinking of joining?

There are various ways you can support Malvern RFC financially but joining 75 Club offers you the chance of winning some back.

5. What would you do if you won the £250 January Super Draw?

Most probably increase the takings behind the Bar!
