Malvern RFC is saddened to hear the terribly sad news of the passing of Cecil Duckworth.
Someone who put his heart and soul into Worcester Rugby Club and the city of Worcester. Seeing Worcester Warriors rise to the top level of the sport was an immense achievement and the benefit it has had on the rugby community across Worcestershire is immeasurable.
As a club, we will be forever grateful of his extreme generosity when instantly handing over a cheque for a five figure sum to support our club’s fundraising efforts to build our new clubhouse. His contribution has enabled thousands of adults and children to enjoy the sport he clearly loved over the years at Malvern Rugby Club.
Our thoughts are with Cecil's family and friends at this sad time.
